They're available on the Playstation Store to play on PS3 or if you have a Vita, you can get Persona 4 Golden and Persona 3 Portable, which are the better than the PS2 versions (In my opinion anyway)īoth P3 and P4 are amazing games and I'd highly recommend you play both! The best thing I'd recommend is play P3 or P4 to get a good idea of what P5 will be like. This half if great because these games always have fantastic characters and interesting stories so, despite how mundane they sound, are actually the highlight. You go to School, make friends, get into relationships, attend class and more. The other half of the game is a pretty much a life sim. Another difference is that you control 4 different characters and there is often 4 or 5 monsters to defeat at once, so you have to manage multiple characters in one battle. Basically, if you hit an enemy's weakness you get another turn, but, if your enemy gets a hit on you, they also get an extra turn. Where it deviates is in its One More feature. The game also has a similar system to Pokemon in that the battle system is focused on elements, what your Persona is weak and strong against, and figuring out your enemies weaknesses. There is also a fusion system which allows you to combine your different Personas into stronger ones. You go around defeating Shadows with your Persona and you collect different Personas to use. One half is a turn based dungeon crawler and is similar to Pokemon in a manner. Essentially, the game is split into two halves.
